Big Phillies is an independent mobile catering business best known for working with some of the biggest named event(s) organisers and stadiums across the UK. Based in Leeds we are known for providing quality menus from well-presented high output catering units.

Here at Big Phillies we are committed, consistent and capable of providing a professional service to all of our partners. We cater for anything from large scale festivals to bespoke outdoor functions anywhere in the UK. We absolutely pride ourselves on providing a quality service for all of our customers and treat every event with the utmost professionalism.

Over the years we have built solid partnerships and contacts within the event catering sector with a positive reputation for delivery of diverse menus to a high capacity.

We now carry out most of our work on a percentage-based commission which continues to enhance our trust and working relationship but most importantly ensures that maximum revenue is achieved by both parties

Mobile Catering

We take great pride in the presentation and cleanliness of our units and are very scrupulous about clutter and external viewing points of each unit. Each unit has well thought-out practical operations and food production systems designed to service large scale events and keep safety risks to a minimum. 

Sustainability 

We have a genuine interest in our investment to a more sustainable environment and approach to catering, therefore where possible we use locally sourced ingredients and biodegradable/compostable packaging. We are keen to work with our partners to ensure that we recycle all waste generated from our units and minimise hazardous waste wherever we can. Documentation in full can be forwarded to organisers upon request.

Method Statement 

We are long term NCASS members and only use this due diligence systems to ensure that all of our policies and procedures are been upheld and regularly reviewed. Our senior staff members carryout all risk assessments, safety checks and HACCP inspections daily before units are opened to staff or the public. 

Facilities & Prep kitchen

At our base in Cross Green Leeds, we have a fully functional prep kitchen with commercial ovens, grills and cooking facilities backed up by temperature-controlled storage space, blaster chillers, vac-pac machines, to ensure that when attending events, we are able to deliver our menu to high capacity without compromise food safety.

Units 

We will ensure that: 

  • All units are well presented neat tidy and to industry standard (Hygienically clean and operating above the FSA requirements).

  • Our units are assigned to the correct jobs/locations according to the menu and have winning production systems to achieve be a winning team). maximum revenue.

  • Our units are appropriately staffed (Fully trained, experienced, dedicated/committed and willing to go over and above).

  • Our units are only ever sited and positioned according to the site plan as agreed beforehand to achieve maximum revenue.

  • Polices & Procedures are updated and upheld by staff.

  • All paperwork required by organisers are kept to date and available upon request.
